go smell it on the mountain.

Our boys being boys-- turning sacred music into silliness.
Fortunately they behaved themselves (mostly) during the church service at their school...

They got to sit together, which was simply adorable.
And they actually stayed pretty quiet during the long, boring parts of the service.
C kept turning around to look at me, nodding his head and smiling in agreement when i'd put my finger up to my mouth.

once it was time to get on stage, K seemed to be more interested in playing with the decor than singing.
C was definitely into it.

K snapped to attention after each song, when the congregation was applauding.
He joined in.

at one point he made eye contact with me, sitting on the floor next to the front pew, taking pics.
He gave me the biggest grin, and as if he couldn't help himself, came down off the stage and gave me a hug, right in the middle of the song.
Be still my mama's heart!
He then returned to his spot, and shot me this look.
I wish I could have taken it all in, rather than snapping so many pics... but I wanted to be able to remember it all too. Like when we went to watch them this summer at their VBS performance and forgot the camera! I'll never forget that moment in time either. Their cuteness. Their excitement. Their first moments in the sun. :)
So thankful for this time in their lives! So many firsts-- and all so sweet and innocent. I hope they look back on it that way too.
... through silly little boy eyes.
