The last week in June, dave took a couple of days off of work, and we packed up the car and the boys and headed up to Brattleboro, VT to visit my college roommates at the lovely home of Matt and Adrienne.
It was a beautiful sunny day to travel....
but hard to obey some of the signs near the GW bridge...
i took this picture while we were sitting in massive amounts of traffic.
hmmm.
The boys did pretty well traveling the 6.5-7 hrs.... and C only asked about 78 times when we were going to get there. We kept them occupied with movies, games, food, and music.
oh, and new monster trucks and various other little 'surprises' in their backpacks...
fortunately this guy got a LITTLE bit of a nap...
When we finally arrived, we were blown away by the beauty and the serenity of The Chantry; aka the Raptis Residence.
and the cuteness of it's newest addition, Athena Geneva:

We had a blast on the in-ground trampoline:

and getting to know a lot of new friends:
aside from all those offspring, we haven't changed a bit in the last 11 years!
It was SO fun to all be together, and to get to know each other as wives and moms...
to catch up on the latest in each other's lives, and to share heart to heart...just like the old days...
only with a few more interruptions!
And just for old time's sake...
we pigged out on ice cream in our pj's and got kinda silly...
only this time with the wonderful husbands we once longed for!
what a sweet way to spend a few summer days :)...
we hope to make it a tradition!
