Well, I saw my first Robin this morning... Normally that would be a lovely, refreshing reminder of Spring!! The problem is he, along with Mr. Psycho Cardinal, was flying full-force into the bathroom window. And because robins are a little bigger and heftier than cardinals, he makes a bigger bang! It would've been somewhat amusing if it weren't for the fact that the cardinal was simultaneously banging into the livingroom/bedroom windows.... creating a percussive chorus of cacophony. Not exactly the melodic tones you hope to lull your little one to sleep by. Will it end by May? Will it EVER end? Sometimes it helps if we leave lights on in the room where they're knocking, sometimes not. They're persistent little critters! Now I'm waiting for the day where we have a different type of bird bashing into each window, kind of like a horror film-- wouldn't that be fun...

Hey Meliss! So my mom and I had this same problem in the house on Hedgerow Lane. Only, our little robin friend stood perched on the window sill outside and knock knock knocked. He didn't actually fly pell mell into the windows which is what I'm sort of envisioning from what you've been telling us. Anyway, my mom had a little bird knick knack from the living room or family room. I found that if we put our bird on the inside sill the real bird got a little scared and stopped his incessant knocking. Good luck!
how fun, visitors.
ps it was wonderful to hear your voice yesterday.
